10 remote extensions
Small system, big features
The TalkSwitch 484vs includes
voicemail,
auto attendants,
music on hold,
ring groups and much more; it comes with a host of sophisticated call handling features
that give you complete control over your calls. See the complete list of

VoIP and traditional: TalkSwitch gives you both
The 484vs is a hybrid system, with capacity for VoIP and traditional telephone
connections. You can save with VoIP services and VoIP inter-branch connections
without sacrificing your connection to the traditional telephone network. It's
the best of both worlds.
Remote extensions keep you connected
Your work doesn't stop at the office, and neither does TalkSwitch. Any
phone, anywhere, can be added as a
remote extension of your system. Cell
phones, home phones and phones in other offices can be reached with
simple 3-digit dialing, and calls can be seamlessly transferred and
screened. With remote extensions, your customers, employees and
partners can always stay connected.
Ready to grow with you
Like all TalkSwitch systems, the TalkSwitch 484vs is ready to grow. It
comes with capacity for 4 traditional telephone lines, 4 VoIP trunks and
8 local extensions, but you can increase capacity any time by
adding IP extensions or networking it with other TalkSwitch units to a maximum capacity of 16 traditional
phone lines, 16 VoIP trunks, 64 local and 40 remote extensions.
Easy to set up
Whether you do it yourself or rely on a professional, TalkSwitch installation is fast and easy, saving you time and money. Plus, all of your call handling
settings are configured on the included user-friendly Windows software, so
it's a snap to make TalkSwitch work the way you want it to, and you don't have
to pay a technician every time you move or add an employee.
Phone Freedom

Unlike most PBX systems, TalkSwitch doesn't tie you down to proprietary
telephones. TalkSwitch systems work with standard analog phones and
selected
IP phones, so if you already
have telephones, chances are
they'll work with TalkSwitch. If you do need phones, check out our
line of
analog telephones tailor-made for TalkSwitch.

Requirements and recommendations:
For configuration software: Windows Vista (32 bit) or Windows XP or Windows 2000 and minimum 256MB
RAM, 160MB hard disk space and 800x600 screen resolution.
For VoIP operation: Broadband internet connection. See our VoIP
bandwidth test for more information. VoIP calling to numbers outside of branch-to-branch
TalkSwitch systems require subscriptions to VoIP services. See our list of VoIP service partners.
Wiring: TalkSwitch usually requires no extra wiring beyond the standard
infrastructure in most commercial and residential buildings. In rare
cases, depending on your existing infrastructure and desired
distribution of extensions, some re-wiring may be necessary. Consult
your Authorized TalkSwitch Reseller or talk to a telephone systems and
service professional in your area.
Telephone company services:
Some phone company services can enhance your TalkSwitch performance:
Caller ID is recommended but not required.
Hunt/Rollover/Busy Forwarding is recommended if you have more than one phone line connected to TalkSwitch.
Transfer and Clear frees a phone line after a call has been transferred to a remote extension.
3-way Calling allows you to use a single line to forward calls to remote extensions,
conference calls and access call bridge. If you want the caller to hear
music continuously while on hold, we do not recommend using this
service.
Telephone Company Voicemail allows a caller to leave a message even if all lines become unavailable.
We do not recommend using Call Waiting, because TalkSwitch can’t answer
two calls on the same line. The second caller would be unable to access
your auto attendants, extensions, voicemail and call cascade sequences.
